个人生活

任长霞也有美满家庭、儿女亲情。她爱丈夫、爱儿子，但不能享受天伦；孝敬父母，但不能床前尽孝。每当想到患病瘫痪在床的父亲那痛苦的呻吟，看到儿子那殷殷期待的目光，想起丈夫对她工作无言的支持，她常常深感内疚。

为确保全市人民度过一个祥和安宁的节日，任长霞无暇回家，给上访老户送去了米面，到几十名业务骨干家中拜年，在街面上查看执勤情况。

一次，14岁的儿子考完试，实在太想妈妈了，又想给她个惊喜，只身一人从郑州家中跑出骑自行车到80多公里外的登封来找她，走到新密市境内，自行车碰到了路边的石头上摔坏了，儿子胳膊、腿、肚子也被擦伤。

当她看到儿子脸上浮着一层厚厚的煤灰，裤档不知啥时已开缝，过年时买的一双运动鞋也裂开了口子。她一把搂住流满泪水的儿子，心里一阵难过，她感到欠儿子的太多太多了。
