past， after， to这三个词均可表示钟点。区别
表示在30分钟之内时可以用after或past，但前者一般用于美式英语，而后者在美式英语和英式英语中通用； 在表示超过30分钟时要用to，其后接下一个钟点。
和楼上同学说的一样，“过去式”的英语是“pasttense”。“tense”作为名词指的是（动词的）时态，所以平时我们用的“一般过去时”就是“simplepasttense”了。
