The difference between clerk and servant is that clerk is one who occupationally works with records, accounts, letters, etc; an office worker while servant is one who is hired to perform regular household or other duties, and receives compensation as opposed to a slave.其区别为：Clerk是职员的意思，意思是一个人将处理文件，帐务，信息做为一个工作职业，如办公室职员，其社会地位与其他人是平等的。Servant是仆人的意思，意思是一个人被雇佣来处理家务或承担其他工作并接收主人家的佣金，其社会地位相对职员来说低一些。与之相对的是奴隶，他们只能干活但没有工资。
