convenience store 很少人会用convenience "shop"，看得懂也可以理解其意思，但这不是最好的用法。这就好比 department store，应该没有人说department shop。此外shop、store通常都是指商店，基本上前者为英式用法，後者为美式用法。例如：糖果店，candy store(美)、sweet shop(英)。而便利店一词，几乎是采美式用法(convenience store)居多，毕竟全球最大的便利店龙头7-11是从美国发迹。
