On May first, my elder brother, grand-mother, aunt and me went shopping, we bought: lollipops, bananas, ice creams, chocolates, milk, apples, peanuts, hot dogs and so on. On May second it was my birthday. I ate birthday cake and went to Juzizhou Park. Mother bought skirt, dress, socks, T-shirt and slippers as my birthday gifts. And we drank some orange juice, apple juice and banana juice. I think I had a wonderful May Day. I went cycling, went swimming, took pictures. I also enjoyed fish and jelly, sour and sweet pork bolus, fried eggs with tomatoes. I watched TV at home. There were many sports stars. They were having competition. I think I had a wonderful May Day.
THe Duck Race讲述的是Kipper一家开展的6只纸鸭子比赛游泳的故事。比赛中，小鸭子遇到各种意外，有的沉到水里了，有的卡在芦苇丛里了，有的卡在水草中，有的卡在原木里，有的居然被从天而降的天鹅误以为美餐差点吃掉。故事情节生动有趣，是一个寓教于乐的儿童英语故事。做阅读小报一般比较简单，可以在短时间内完成，确定了主题之后要先想清楚阅读报上的各个板块放什么内容，然后根据需要的内容去查资料，可以在文章中查找，也可以在电脑上查找。最重要的是结合自己对THe Duck Race这篇文章的阅读感想，这样做出来的阅读小报才吸引人。阅读小报最重要的一点是内容一定要跟主题密切贴合，最好是配图也要跟主题有所联系，如果配图方面做不到，尽量不要乱配图。
