勤劳是一个美德（ethics），但不勤劳也非品德败坏（moral)moral和morality一般都是指像十诫那样的严重的行为，比如杀人、偷东西，是跨文化、通用的而ethics则是个人的选择，比如Puritans赞扬Charity,hardwork,sobrietyandthrift的行为moral和morality确实不好解释区别，都是名词，比如moralsandethics有道词典翻译成“思想道德修养”我想到的例子中，morality和morals都可以换着用，也许区别不大把校训一般用ethics吧，moral/morality都是太基本的做人的要求了
