楼下的说了用make,let都行，但是有点中式英语的感觉，我学习商务英语的时候，有个这样的句子，drive your staff to be the number one,就是使你的员工成为第一的意思。所以我觉得用drive 比较好。整句就是drive your students to be the top-one。

He tried to keep up with the top students .
He tries to catch up with the topic-grade student.
