For pore solution extrusion tests, deionized water was used for the preparationof cement paste specimens. Sodium chloride equivalent to 1% and2% by weight of cement was predissolved in the mix water; this correspondsto original chloride ion concentrations of 0.6% and 1.2% by weight ofcement, respectively. Cemen~t paste specimens were prepared at a constantwater/cement ratio of 0.6, using a standard ASTM Hobart mixer and amixing procedure in accordance with ASTM C305. After mixing, the specimenswere cast in 49 mm x 75 mm cylindrical impermeable plastic molds, sealed, and stored at 20 -+ 2℃
