Ⅰ.时态
1.在 this is(it is)the first time that …句型中,从句常用完成时态。
2.have been to与 have gone to 的区别。前者侧重表示经历过,后者表示已经去了那里。
3.用在时间或条件状语从句中,表示将来某个动作发生之前业已完成的动作
4 、 when 引起的疑问句中一般不用现在完成时。5.smell , taste , sound , notice , hate , like , love , believe , understand , Want , seem , appear , contain , see , hear , agree , belong等表示心理状态、情感、感觉、所有关系及特征等状态的动词一般不用进行时。
Ⅱ.被动时态
1 、不及物动词 seat 的用法。
2 、没有被动语态的及物动词。
Ⅲ不定式
1.常接不定式的动词有:agree, fail , promise , afford , ask , happen , resolve , attempt . hesitate, seek, long , threaten , claim , manage , trouble ,consent, neglect, try , decide , offer , undertake , demand , plan . volunteer , determine , prepare , want , pretend , wish , endeavor , proceed , struggle 等
2.在一般助动词或者情态动词之后 to 可以被省略。
3.在动词 make , let , watch , see …之后作宾语的时候, to 可以被省略。
4.在 why 和 why not 之后 to 可以被省略。
5.在 had better , had best , would rather , had sooner, cannot but , do nothing but 等结构后面 to 可以被省略。
Ⅳ.主谓一致

3.动词的数要与它紧挨着的名词,或者代词的数一致。
Ⅴ.情态动词
1.might 不是may 的过去式而是表示一种很小的可能性。
2.作为情态动词 need 和 dare 除在 whether 和 if 引出的从句中以外,一般不能用于肯定句,只能用于否定句和疑问句,并且不采用助动词 do ,但是作为实义动词 则需要 do
3 、 used to 表示过去习惯的动作或者状态,4.might 和 as well 连用表示建议5.ought to , should be , must be / must have been , will be ,,用来表示论断、逻辑推理等。
Ⅵ.倒装
1.感叹句中的主谓不需要倒装,仅将 what 或者 how 在句子中构成的宾语、表语或者状语部分提到前面
2.当引导 从句的疑问词和关联词位于从句的开头时,句子中的主谓不需要倒装

Ⅶ.虚拟
1.名词性从句中要用过去时或 should+ 动词原型构成虚拟语气。
2.would rather , had rather 后的从句动词用相当于陈述语气的过去时来表示现在或将来发生的动作。
3.在 it is important / suggested / necessary / proposed 等结构后的主语从句中要用虚拟语气表示应该做什么事情,即用动词原形或 should+ 动词原型,
4.词组 but for 相当于 were it not for 或 had it not been for, 表示一种含否定意义的条件,后面一般加名词或名词短语
5.在某些表示祝愿的句子里需要用虚拟语气

英语四级语法知识:不定冠词的用法
冠词是虚词,本身不能单独使用,也没有词义,它用在名词的前面,帮助指明名词的含义。英语中的冠词有三种,一种是定冠词(the Definite Article),另一种是不定冠词(the Indefinite Article),还有一种是零冠词(Zero Article)。
不定冠词a (an)与数词one 同源,是"一个"的意思。a用于辅音音素前,一般读作[e],而an则用于元音音素前,一般读做[en]。
1) 表示"一个",意为one;指某人或某物,意为a certain。
A Mr. Ling is waiting for you.
2) 代表一类人或物。
A knife is a tool for cutting with.
Mr. Smith is an engineer.
3) 词组或成语。
a little / a few / a lot / a type of / a pile / a great many / many a / as a rule / in a hurry / in a minute / in a word / in a short while / after a while / have a cold / have a try / keep an eye on / all of a sudden
英语四级语法知识:定冠词的用法
定冠词the与指示代词this,that同源,有"那(这)个"的意思,但较弱,可以和一个名词连用,来表示某个或某些特定的人或东西。
1)特指双方都明白的人或物:
Take the medicine.把药吃了。
2)上文提到过的人或事:
He bought a house.I've been to the house.
他买了幢房子。我去过那幢房子。
3)指世上独一物二的事物:
the sun, the sky, the moon, the earth
4)单数名词连用表示一类事物,如:the dollar 美元;
the fox 狐狸;或与形容词或分词连用,表示一类人:the rich 富人; the living 生者。
5)用在序数词和形容词最高级,及形容词only, very, same等前面:
Where do you live?I live on the second floor. 你住在哪?我住在二层。
That's the very thing I've been looking for. 那正是我要找的东西。
6)与复数名词连用,指整个群体:
They are the teachers of this school.指全体教师)
They are teachers of this school. (指部分教师)
7)表示所有,相当于物主代词,用在表示身体部位的名词前:
She caught me by the arm..她抓住了我的手臂。
8)用在某些由普通名词构成的国家名称、机关团体、阶级、等专有名词前:
the People's Republic of China 中华人民共和国
the United States 美国
9)用在表示乐器的名词之前: She plays the piano.她会弹钢琴。
10) 用在姓氏的复数名词之前,表示一家人:
the Greens 格林一家人 (或格林夫妇)
11) 用在惯用语中:
in the day, in the morning (afternoon,evening),the day after tomorrow
the day before yesterday,the next morning,
in the sky (water,field,country)

Ⅵ 定语从句
限制和非限制性定语从句: 限制性定语从句是名词词组不可缺少的一个组成部分, 去掉了会造成病句或意义不明确; 非限制性定语从句属于补充说明性质, 去掉了不会影响主要意义, 通常用逗号与它的先行词分开.
The boys who wanted to play football were disappointed when it rained.
The boys, who wanted to play football, were disappointed when it rained.
如果定语从句的先行词是专有名词, 或是带有形容词性物主代词(my, his, etc)或形容词性指示代词(this, that, etc)作限定词, 其后的定语从句通常都是非限制性的:
Mary Smith, who is in the corner, wants to meet you.
Her mother, who had long suffered form arthritis, died last night.
All these books, which have been donated by visiting professors, are to be used by the postgraduates.
在非限制性定语从句中只能用who/whom指人, 用which指物,通常不用that替代.
My father, who had been on a visit to America, returned yesterday.
All the books, which had pictures in them, were sent to the little girl.
定语从句的引导词
that, who, whom: 非限制性定语从句, 如果修饰人, 一般用who, 有时用that (作主语时用who较多). 如果关系代词在从句中作宾语, 就应当用宾格 whom 或that, 但在大多数情况下都可以省略掉, 在口语中可用who代替whom.
Here is the man (whom) you've been looking for.
He is a man (that) you can safely depend on.
The people (who/that) you were talking to were Swedes.
There are some people here who I want you to meet.
但在介词后只能用whom:
This is the man to whom I referred.
但在口语中一般都把介词放到句子后面去, 这时可用that, 但省略时更多一些.
Have you met the person about whom he was speaking?
Have you met the person (that) he was speaking about
The girl to whom I spoke is my cousin.
The girl (who/that) I spoke to is my cousin.
限制性定语从句如果修饰“物”, 用关系代词that的时候较多, 也有时用which.. 当这个代词在从句中是用作宾语时, 在绝大多数情况下都是省略的, 特别是口语中(尤其是当被修饰的词是all, everything等词时):
Have you everything you need?
(Is there) anything I can do for you?
All you have to do is to press the button.

动名词的复合结构:凡是一个动词的后面可以加动名词,就可以加动名词的复合结构。
动作发出者 + 动名词;当动作发出者名字给出时:名词所有格 + 动名词;当动名词的复合结构在文章中出现,且动作发出者在前文中提过时:形容词物主代词(宾格)+ 动名词。
形容词物主代词:his, her, my, your, their, our。代词宾格:him, her, me, you, us, them。
第二点:want 想要; want to do sth. 想做某事; want doing 客观需要或缺乏。

短语部分没有独立主语,则短语结构称为非谓语动词。
非谓语动词的结构:分词(分词短语)
句子的主语决定非谓语动词中的分词是用主动还是被动形式。如果是句子的主语发出动作,则使用现在分词;如果动作不是由句子的主语发出,则使用过去分词。

非谓语动词与独立主格:短语,句子(或者句子,短语)
当短语部分有独立主语,并且该主语不同于句子主语,这时短语结构称为独立主格。(它最明显的特点是短语部分有独立的主语)。
独立主格的结构1:名词(代词)+ 分词 [现在分词、过去分词]
现在分词表示主动的,正在进行的行为;过去分词表示被动的,已经完成的行为。 作题时要通过判断动作与名词(代词)之间的关系来确定是使用现在分词还是过去分词。当动作由名词(代词)发出时使用现在分词,而名词(代词)是受动者时则用过去分词。
1. Silver is the best conductor of electricity, copper _B_ it closely.

2. All things _A_, the planned trip will have to be called off.

call off 取消; cancel vt. 取消; 四级中的考点就是现在分词和过去分词的区别。
独立主格的结构2:with + 名词(代词)+ 分词 [句子当中作状语]
