向某人表示尊重respect to somebody就行了，不用这么啰嗦，这样是中式英语

是 greet sb,greet这里同其他动词一样,在宾语前面.楼主混淆的应该是 greeting to sb,这个语法正确,但是greeting这里是动名词,意为“给某某问好”.
