申请流程办理外国签证，无论是中国人办理外国签证，还是外国人办理其他国家签证，无论采取哪一种方式，是委托代办，还是自己直接办理，一般需要经过下列几个程序：

(1)递交有效的护照。

(2)递交与申请事由相关的各种证件，例如有关自己出生、婚姻状况、学历、工作经历等的证明。

(3)填写并递交签证申请表格。签证不同，表格也不同，多数要用外文填写、同时提供本人照片。

(7)缴纳签证费用。一般来说，递交签证申请的时候就要先缴纳费用，也有个别国家是签证申请成功的时候才收取费用。一般而言，移民签证费用略高，非移民签证费用略低。也有些国家和地区的签证是免费的。
