高分秘籍之二：活用简单词汇

很多同学在写作之中总是一味的追求高难度。在作文中用很多所谓的高档词汇及词组。然而往往是活用好最简单常见的词汇更会人留下眼前一亮的效果。

Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.

岁月悠悠，衰微只及肌肤；热忱抛却，颓废必至灵魂。忧烦，惶恐，丧失自信，定使心灵扭曲，意气如灰。

真正优美的英文使用的大多不是高难度词汇，正如本句中最出彩的两个词汇wrinkle和bow。把我们常用的名词活用为动词，岁月使肌肤爬上皱纹，生动形象的表现出岁月的痕迹。而bow我们常用的弯腰、鞠躬的含义，在这里面被可意译为扭曲。而give up，turn只选择了单词最常用最简单的含义。但是在本句中灵活的运用，并且对于名词的选择和排比使这句话变得极具韵律和美感。更为重要的，文章很少选择we 或是I作为句子的主语来使用，这就增加了文章的文艺效果，少了几分死板和以自我为中心。
