"刷卡"的英文并不是单一的:1. accept / charge / take …. 等等Do you take Master card?这是问店家收不收 Master card ，也可以代换成 Visa card, Discover card…等2. useCan I use Visa card?这是我刚到美国时对店家说的，那时还不知道上头的说法。店家也知道我在说啥就是了。(这不是很正确的说法)3. 肢体语言这是最简单，也是最明了的，尤其遇到柜员的英语不是很好的时候:把卡拿在手上，然后说:"Master card?” 店员自然知道该如何做。4. swipe / slide前头提过了，swipe or slide 只是很字面的意思，没有中文的"刷卡"的意思，唯一用到这个字的场合是，你是收钱的柜员，然后信用卡是由顾客自己刷的，你遇到一个顾客找不到或是不会用刷卡机器，这时你可以手指刷卡机器，然后解说: “just slide it here.”如果哪天你走进一家店，然后你说:"Can I swipe my credit card?” (原本要表达的意思是: 我可以刷卡吗)，店员恐怕会雾煞煞，他会以为你又还没买东西，没事把卡拿在手上"划动"是要干嘛?
