we got the news before the english class that some foreign teachers from a middle school in new york would visit our class. we felt excited and nervous.

the bell rang and the foreign teachers came into the classroom. they spoke to us in english one by one. they spoke english clearly and slowly. a woman teacher came to my desk, with a *** ile on her face. "hello! nice to meet you! "she said friendly. i answered her.

then she asked me some simple questions. we talked with each other for a while. "your english is very good,"she said. i thanked her and felt very happy. then i decided to study english harder than before.

today is my mother's birthday. my father and i wanted to give her surprising birthday presents.

in the morning we went to the shop and bought a big cake. then we went to the market and bought some food that mother liked very much. after getting home, we began to prepare our presents. father went into the kitchen to prepare a big meal while i went into my room to make a birthday card. i drew three rabbits biggest one was eating grass while the other o were playing happily under a big tree. to tell you the truth, it was my family because all of us were born in the year of rabbit.

it was almost 12 o'clock. the delicious food on the table made my mouth water. everything was ready. we seated ourselves at the table, waiting for my mother. when we heardthe sound of opening the door, we hid behind the door and cheered, "happy birthday!" as soon as mother came in.

mother was seated at the table and i showed her my present. she looked at it and *** iled. "have a taste of the delicious food. it was made by father himself."i said. mother looked at my father and me, picking up her chopsticks.

every child is surrounded by the deep mother love. however, we often turn a blind eye to the love. one day i deeply felt the love.

one day i hurried home for lunch after school, because there would be an exam in the afternoon and i had expected to go back to school early to prepare for the exam. but when i got home, the lunch was not ready yet. i felt unhappy. when the dishes were served, i forund none i like. i ran out of my house angrily and wanderde on the street for a while,hungry. then i walked to school.

when i got into the classroom, i saw a lunch box on my desk. one clas *** ate told me that it was my mother ther that had brought it here.after opening the box, i found my favorite food inside. my eyes was moist with tears.

mother gave me her love without asking for return, how deep mother love is!

i'm the only child in my family, the apple of my parents' eyes. my mother and father take good care of my and give me a lot of support throughout my life.

my father is the manager of a pany and my mother is a teacher. they are both well educated and do well in their jobs. they know that knowledge is power. father often municates with foreign friends and is good at english. i can learn a lot from him, especially english. his oninion on education is as advanced as that of my mother's. they often give me advice on my studies but never interfere in them. they seldom force me to do what i don't like to. they permit me to have different opinions. if something is good for me, they will persuade me to do it as they want. many people of our age say that there is a generation gap beeen their parents and them. however, it doesn't exist beeen us.

my mother is a math teacher. she is very clever and good at teaching. she can work out a problem within 10 minutes which would cost me 2 hours. i envy and admire her. i want to be a math teacher like her.

i'm lucky to have such enlightened parents. i'm lucky to have been brought up in such a happy family.
