词义辨析：

although, though这两个词都可表示“虽然”。其区别是：

1、although的语气较重,引导的句子常指事实; though引导的句子可表示假设。

2、though可以引起从句的主语和谓语部分倒装，而although不可。

3、although只用作连词; 而though除用作连词外,还可用作副词。另外，though可用作并列连词，也可用作从属连词；而although只能用作从属连词。

4、though可用于even though, as though, what though等结构; 而although不能。

词语用法：

1、although的基本意思是“尽管,虽然”或“然而,但是”,常用于引导陈述语气的让步状语从句,且引导的句子常指事实,而不指设想。

2、although可置于句首(此时多用逗号与主句分开),也可置于句末(此时用不用逗号均可),也可用于句中表强调。

3、在although引导的复合句中，若主句和从句的主语相同，且从句的谓语动词含动词be，则从句的主语和动词be可以省略。

4、although不能与but在句中同时出现，即有了although就不可以再用but。但although可与副词yet连用而产生关联关系，在含让步状语从句的主句中还可以使用nevertheless, still等副词。
