舍得是不想放弃(don'twanttogivesomethingup)的意思，英语里没有对应词（correspondingwords）,但是英语里有舍不得begrudge,grudge。所以舍得是要用notbegrudge结构。（——外研社汉英词典）例如:练跳舞必须舍得钱。Tolearndancingonemustn'tbegrudgemoney.不过要是想表达“我舍不得你”的意思的时候，英语里一般用：Ihatetoleaveyou.或者Ihatetoloseyou.
我认为“舍得”有一英语单词“sacrifice”(牺牲)作为对应的单词合适。舍得就需牺牲你所想，所愿的一切。
