I do not accept punishment as a mean to education.Especially, punishment is not acceptable in public places. Parents who punish their kids in public places run against the social morals. What's more, it is very traumatic to the kid's sense of pride.Every kid and juvenile, in the youthhood, makes or commits some mistakes. The main reason is their pre-mature mind. Therefore, the punishment coming from the parent can not help to rectify kid's mistake, but to make their kids rebel.So, I am of the opinion that the best way in education is the communication in language. The parents have to undetstand and comprehend their kid's ture mind, then help their kids to konw the reason or cause of their mistakes, and help them to re-consider their own behavior. 两种不同教育观点，一方面，是“代代相传”的“教子经”；尤其是传统教育影响，体罚孩子作为一种传统，惩罚被人们一代一代不假思索地承袭了下来。另一方面，是我们的家庭教育父母的理论书，常常自相矛盾，比如，《千万别管孩子:自主教育哈佛启示录》、《千万别管孩子》、《老师,千万别管孩子》； 《孩子不能不管 》、《孩子一定要管》等。其实，这是两种不同的教育孩子的观点，一种以偏概全的观点，给父母一种教育孩子错误理念： 那就是，一个是孩子不应该惩罚；一个是孩子应该惩罚!可是，在现实生活中，有的父母想立竿见影地把孩子给尽快“管住”、“镇住”，用武术话语，就是“一招制敌”，老老实实写作业；有这种思想的父母认为，对于“爱心、宽容、包容、民主、平等、自由、什人性”等教育孩子，都是“站着说话不腰疼”的“胡说八道”，明明的孩子把我气的“死去活来”，我难道说还有客气教育孩子吗？那么“无法无天”的孩子“蹬鼻子上脸”，我该怎么办？在这种情况下，父母的威信荡然无存，还怎么教育孩子？因为，在过去上千年，我们的传统就是主要靠体罚教育“当家做主”的，所谓“孩子不打不成器”、“棍棒底下出孝子”等，这些古训都强调了“打骂”的育人重要性。这些年，实行计划生育，独生子女的出现，孩子自然而然就成了“小霸王、小皇帝”，这就是，有的父母对于由于父母对于孩子的溺爱，谁还能批评和惩戒“霸王、皇帝”？况且，一旦孩子被惩罚出了什么问题，谁担当得起？正是在这样的大气候下，“惩罚教育”日渐式微，代之而起的就是“赏识式教育法”“夸奖式教育法”“快乐式教育法”了，“惩罚教育”甚至被认为是无能的表现。于是，迎合父母的教育理论应运而生。孩子的教育中，应该有“赏识、夸奖、快乐”，可是，一味的“赏识、夸奖、快乐”，就远离教育的“轨道”。然而，随着“赏识、快乐”教育，作为素质教育的一种具体表现被广为推广，“惩戒教育”日渐淡出人们的视线，尤其是学校教育，老师们甚至到了谈“罚”色变的地步。面对不服管教的孩子，很多教师纷纷发出“老师越来越难当”的感慨，消极应对的结果是，包括肇事孩子在内的多数学生利益受损。一时间，在教育孩子要不要惩罚的问题上，长期以来人们有着争论。一度时期，不少人对惩罚持反对的观点，提出“教育，拒绝惩罚。”有人认为，惩罚，是教育评价过程中衍生出的一种病态形式，是教育者的一种大忌，有百害而无一利。事实上，就“教育”本身来说，就包含有“惩罚”的因素。
