China has the world's second largest billionaire population, a new survey by research firm Wealth X and Swiss-based Bank UBS shows.
In 2014, the world's billionaire population grew 7 percent to 2,325, with their total worth rising 12 percent to $7.3 trillion. 155 people reported a worth of over one billion dollars for the first time.
Of those new billionaires, 33 are from China.
By June of 2014, the US hosted the biggest billionaire population, with 571 making the list, while China, with 190 billionaires, ranked second.
