mountain 和 hill 的区别：
一、使用范围不同：
1、 mountain
名词，山，山岳；山脉；一大堆；大量；复数形式mountains
常用来表示 “山脉”，通常指比hill 大或陡峭的高山
例如：①It’s the highest mountain in the world.它是世界上最高的山。
②The city lies in a valley with high mountains all around it .城市坐落在高山环抱的山谷中。
③ We made our way up the mountain. 我们登山。
2、hill
名词：小山，山冈; 斜坡
一般用作“小山”、“斜坡”、“丘岭”的意思，与“mountain”不同，特指较小的山丘。
